Release of Information
The registrar's office maintains students' official personal information, files and records, and is responsible for their custody, release, and alteration, in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), also known as the Buckley Amendment.
The staff in the Registrar's Office is available to assist and provide you with administrative support. Contact information for staff members and a brief description of their responsibilities are outlined for your reference below:

- Provides the leadership, oversight and supervision of the Student Services operation, which includes the Registrar’s Office and all aspects of student life
- Creates student programming that contributes to an environment that fosters social, educational, community and personal growth
- Supports and upholds the mission, vision, values and traditions of Tai Sophia Institute as well as a commitment to higher education
- Certifies registration for students applying for Veterans’ Benefits
- Offers exit interviews for all students
- Coordinates SEVIS activity for students on F-1 Visas
- Ensures privacy and confidentiality of student records is protected in accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA)
- Promotes an atmosphere of trust, confidentiality and support

- Maintains the Student Information System and updates contact information
- Accepts and processes requests for unofficial or official transcripts
- Processes enrollment verification letters and deferments
- Collects official documentation of health requirements
- Maintains student records
- Prepares and sends academic transcripts
- Processes enrollment verifications for deferments, etc.
- Orders diplomas
- Conducts completions reviews with students nearing graduation (please allow two weeks advance time when requesting an appointment) to ensure all requirements have been fulfilled
Academic & Student Affairs Advisors
The Deans of Students often serve as the first point of contact for current students who have academic or personal questions and concerns. At the student’s request, the Dean is in a position to make recommendations and suggestions on a direction or course of action to help the student navigate a path to success in the program or to address a personal concern.
